Debates Indígenas (Indigenous Debates) is a digital magazine which aims to address the struggles, achievements and issues of the indigenous peoples in a perspective from within the territories and the communities themselves, with academic knowledge and activist engagement. Our vision is to become a communications medium of reference for indigenous peoples, as well as an instrument that contributes to the defence of human rights and nature.
Oré, “ours” in Guaraní, is an international working group set up in 2010 and based in Bolivia. Specializing in defending and implementing the human rights of indigenous peoples, our objective is to support the defence and implementation of indigenous rights by means of technical assistance to indigenous organizations and through social communication. To this end, we carry out research and provide legal and anthropological support regarding defence of the indigenous territories, autonomy processes and socio-environmental conflicts. We also hope that our work enables us to promulgate the situation of indigenous movements, as a result of the construction of intercultural dialogues.
IWGIA is a global human rights organization, dedicated to promoting, protecting and defending the rights of the indigenous people. To this effect, it documents and monitors the situation of indigenous peoples across the globe. Its transformative driving force lies in documentation, advocacy and local work.
IWGIA’s podcast channel. In our programs we interview indigenous leaders and human rights specialist to gain insight into the native population’s standpoint and perspective. We address diverse aspects of their situation and the podcasts can be downloaded free of charge.
